OWA Coffee is named after the Javan gibbon's 'Owa Own' hooting call. This gibbon is threatened by deforestation.

We support the coffee and Primate Conservation Project (CPCP) which empowers farmers to cultivate shade-grown coffee that thrives under the shade of forest canopy. This means that the Javan gibbon's gibbon rainforest home remains intact, and the farmers' livelihood is preserved.
